▹ QUEEN BEE.
The young Stark didn’t give her comment much thought until after it left her
mouth, but even then it was only for a moment. She was an overly confident
woman after all. Other’s opinions didn’t even register in her mind, unless it was
someone she truly gave a fuck about. Although, she DID give a damn about
others; HYDRA made it more so after anything she went through. However, she
had a feeling disabled people didn’t enjoy being tip-toed around just because
they lack something others had. So she wasn’t going to like those people.“Oh, really! Do tell.” A small chuckle left her gloss covered lips. “How can you
NOT notice a case involving newbie lawyers going against a massive asshole
with a shit ton of money, controlling what seems half of the city? Also, I love
seeing pricks go down. Sex.” She answered bluntly with a shit eating grin on
her face. “And, of course, a chance to see the Kitchen’s biggest attraction.”
A DRY chuckle escaped the lawyer, undeniably engaged in an ambivalent form of amusement. In the short time Nelson & Murdock hatched as a fresh young firm, ready to take on the world and stretch its wings, it has seen SLOW days and even faced the brink of EXTINCTION, with only a shy handful of clients trickling in every so often. But since the corner firm ( just learning to fly ) tackled not one but two monumental cases — that rocked the city — Nelson & Murdock garnered an influx of potential clients from across the city walk through their doors. News of the small firm climbing the ranks reached corners far and wide.
But handling cases involving celebrity personalities like FISK or CASTLE left the firm exhausted. In the days following closing the case, they were left with handling eager reporters and company offers. They were trivial tasks, most of which Matt left to Foggy who enjoyed public attention, whereas Matt retreated to other nightly activities and left to unwind.
❛ Not enough sightseeing back home? ❜ Hell’s Kitchen isn’t much of a tourist trap in New York. Nothing special about the docks or the crime… maybe the odd chance of spotting the devil like Stark desired. For those just passing through, it’s get in and get out. As for the rest of the residents trapped in the city with no option but to stay and survive, Hell’s Kitchen didn’t exactly scream comfy cozy but it was home. He didn’t expect Stark to stay long.
❛ Your chances of seeing anything remotely interesting in Hell’s Kitchen is if you find yourself on the wrong side of an alley at night, which is highly unrecommended. ❜
